Sensitive Skin Specialist - A Journey of Healing
I am the owner of really crazy skin. My skin is crazy sensitive to anything chemically isolated, like vitamins, alcohols, sugars, emulsifiers, preservatives. I am even sensitive to things which are supposed to be good for your skin - aloe, essential oils, moisturizers, handcrafted soap.
Soap? Yeah, soap. How are you supposed to clean your skin?
My skin was red, swollen, irritated, sore, unhappy. . . crazy.
My daughter challenged me,
“Make your own.”
“I don’t know how to do that.”
She repeated, “I think you can make your own.”
“OK, I’ll see.”
So, I studied. I researched. I made some stuff . . . I tested it all on me . . . I made some more stuff . . . I tested it all on me . . . some more. Finally, I created a 4-step ritual which worked amazingly well.
My crazy skin exited stage left and was replaced by this beautiful, polite, radiant, happy face. Was I surprised! I couldn’t imagine this could really be a thing. But yet, here was my glowing complexion, a certain reality.
How did this happen?
As I retraced my steps of learning, I realized sensitivities are created from chemicals isolated and then manufactured in a lab. And I understood my 4-step ritual put all those wonderful compounds - vitamins, anti-oxidants, moisturizers . . . soap, back into their natural surroundings, where they soothed and calmed my sensitive skin.
My goal was to find and use the most gentle, most nourishing ingredients - to care for my skin, to nourish my skin, and to heal my skin. And I found my products worked as well on others. I discovered everyone needs nourished gentle care for optimum health.
